WELSH CLUB CRICKET CONFERENCE STANDARD GROUND AND FACILITIES CRITERIA FOR ENTRY AND PROGRESSION THROUGH THE LEAGUE


Div 1 Div 2 Div 3 Div 4 Alliance
      Outfield
C1 The grass must receive its final mow:




on match day or the day immediately preceeding the match Y Y


at least once in the week preceeding the match

C2 The boundary must be clearly marked with a rope visible from the pitch or a line marking enhanced by markers at no more than 15 yard intervals Y Y Y Y Y
C3 Where a winter sport is played on the outfield it must be quickly and thoroughly reinstated to as high as a standard as considered reasonable in the circumstances Y Y Y Y Y
      Square
C4 Footmarks etc. from previous weeks' matches must have been repaired Y Y Y Y Y
C5 An adequate means of watering the square must be available Y Y Y Y Y
      Pitch
C6 Pitches must be of grass and capable of sustaining play to a high standard over the full duration of a 90 over match Y Y Y Y Y
C7 The pitch should receive its final preparation:




preferably on the day of the match, but at least on the day before the match Y Y


no more than 3 days prior to the match

C8 The pitch must be clearly and properly marked out in accordance with the laws Y Y Y Y Y
      Sightscreens
C9 There must be effective and well maintained sightscreens at both ends and these must be at least 14 feet high and 12 feet wide, but if the outfield slopes adversely they must be higher so as to fully compensate. They should be able to be easily repositioned during a match. Y



      Covers
C10 Adequate covering equipment, leak free and well maintained, capable of covering the whole of the pitch must be available during the match Y



      Scoreboard
C11 A scoreboard giving details of the total score, wickets down, overs bowled and target runs is required Y Y Y Y Y
      Pavilion
C12 The pavilion is to have:




three clean and tidy changing rooms, one each for the teams and one for the Umpires Y



two clean and tidy changing rooms, one each for the teams

C13 Showering facilities must be provided within easy reach of the playing area and should be clean tidy and hygienic Y Y Y Y Y
C14 When the match is finished there should be an adequate supply of hot water Y Y Y Y Y
C15 Toilet facilities in the form of at least two WC's (including one for ladies) must be provided, within the pavilion or nearby. They should be clean, tidy, hygienic and supplied with toilet paper Y Y Y Y Y
C16 There must be a properly stocked and readily available first aid kit Y Y Y Y Y
C17 There must be a tea room capable of accommodating two teams and where applicable Scorers and Umpires Y Y Y

C18 The tea room and kitchen area must be clean tidy and hygienic Y Y Y

      Miscellaneous
C19 The club should have a readily available supply of sawdust and drying cloths Y Y Y Y Y
